Guardianship/Trusteeship The new ADULT GUARDIANSHIP AND TRUSTEESHIP ACT (AGTA) came into effect October of 2009. This new act is meant to provide a better range of decision making options that allows adults to receive assistance with personal and financial decisions according to their needs, while keeping as much independence as possible in thier circumstances. Gateway Association for Community Living is in partnership with SAGE (Seniors Association of Greater Edmonton) to provide families with information and to assist with Guardianship, Lawyer referrals, Persoanl Directives, Enduring Power of Attorney and more. This is a free service.
